Practicing Good Dental Home Care

While it is important to visit your dentist for regular cleanings and check ups, it is equally important that you don’t neglect your teeth in between. Our teeth effect so much more than our smiles, they can effect our overall health. It is important that you brush your teeth at least twice a day and you should change out your toothbrush every three months. Other helpful rules to follow to ensure proper brushing: brush in small, circular motions gently along the teeth and gumline, make sure you brush the surface of every side of the tooth- not just the front, also remember to brush your tongue! It is equally as important to floss, as well. Take a look at our How To Brush page for further instructions on proper Brushing and Flossing rituals.

If you follow these simple instructions you will be going a long way in preventing tooth decay, periodontal disease, halitosis, and dental staining.
